Quality built on
three generations.

Keith Stanbury founded the business in 1962. Three generations later, Stanbury continues to design and manufacture industrial battery chargers in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Battery charging has remained our speciality as the business has grown. Designing and manufacturing our chargers in Christchurch keeps that product knowledge within the business, from power electronics through to the charging profiles used by a working fleet.

For industrial equipment, quality means more than the initial purchase. It means selecting the right charger for the application and having access to product knowledge, parts and service when they are needed. Our Australian teams provide that local support, backed by the people who manufacture the equipment.

Charging technology has moved from transformer designs to high-frequency power electronics. Today, profile-driven charging allows us to configure a charger for the battery and the way the equipment is used. Our focus remains on charging batteries correctly and keeping working equipment ready for the next shift.

Built around the operation

Charging built around your operation.

A forklift in a warehouse, a ground support vehicle at an airport and equipment working at a port do not all follow the same routine. Their batteries, shifts, charging locations and available power can be quite different.

We start by understanding that routine. When is equipment in use? When can it charge? Which batteries are in the fleet, and what power is available on site? Those details guide the charger output, battery profile, connectors and installation requirements.

Our multi-voltage three-phase chargers provide flexibility across different battery voltages. We help select the appropriate model range for the fleet, then configure the charging profiles and connections for the batteries it will serve.

Our Australian teams in Melbourne and Sydney are the local point of contact for sales and support. They work with our Christchurch manufacturing team on product questions and service requirements. Our contacts in the United States and Taiwan extend that network internationally.
